This strap end is decorated with a trefoil and ring and dot work at
the head and simple knotwork on the main body.

 

It is a copy of a strap end found in Norway and the original can be seen in the
online collection of the Norges Metallsoker Forening Museum.

 

This strap end would have seen use between 8th—11th centuries.

 

Cast in brass using lost wax casting process, original master
carved and cast by Stuart Makin of Jackhammer Forge.

 

The strap end is supplied with rivets and washers for fitting.
27mm wide x 48mm long.

Suitable for a 25mm wide belt strap.
